We love the book Chicks With Guns, available in our St. Louis shop. The most beautiful photography, and just a cool and quirky concept. Each page has a portrait of a female with her gun and the opposite page tells her story. A perfect compliment to the book are these great gun bottle openers. A great conversation piece when entertaining with friends.

Barr-Co. is the newest line to k. hall studio. The inspiration is the pioneers of tonic, tinctures, and elixirs. The bottles are comprised of an array of glass milk bottles, parfait glassware, muslin bags and tinware.

It is so beautiful outside! I want to be sitting on the beach with this landscape in front of me. Ambergris is my new favorite springtime scent.

We painted our walls shimmering white for spring. The store looks elegant and bright. We love the glow of the lighting coming in from the windows behind the mirrors. We updated and re-designed store, bringing in romantic women’s clothing and gilded and rustic home accessories from the Altanta and New York shows. The look is very city meets country.

For each of our Simpatico scents, we have been inspired by an antique book page. The new Ambergris may be my favorite. This historic scent is sweet, yet musky and reminds me of the beach; I personally think it is a sensual scent for men or women. Here is the antique book page that inspired us. Terrariums

Just returned from the Atlanta Market. One of my favorite things we are bringing into the store for spring are terrariums. It’s an easy way to bring plants into your home because they do not need much watering. Water droplets form on the glass and keeps the plant’s environment very moist, somewhat like a rainforest. This image is from Better Homes and Gardens website, where they give you some tips on what are the best plants for terrariums.

The new year always brings a sense of urgency to organize and clean. I have spent the last week doing so. I find it therapeutic to pull out all of my linens to examine, wash, then rank and file.
